Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Wellness Coach to join our team in Willow Grove, PA. We connect people of all abilities to healthier lifestyles by guiding members on equipment use, safety, and program participation on the fitness floor.

You will help new and existing members feel comfortable, provide instruction on wellness resources, and contribute to a positive, inclusive Y community every day.

Qualifications

• Fitness experience preferred.
• Enjoyment from working with people on a fitness floor.
• Excitement about helping members learn new equipment.
• Team player with a commanding, positive presence and passion for connecting with members and building relationships.

Responsibilities

• Engage members to foster a safe and rewarding fitness experience.
• Build strong relationships with members and guests to facilitate their fitness goals.
• Maintain a healthy, safe, and clean fitness floor. Provide a friendly and encouraging environment for members in the usage of fitness and wellness programs and services.
• Have an understanding and provide basic information to members on exercising and health and wellness.
