Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Wellness Coach to join our team at the Y. This full-time hourly role ($15.00-$17.00) focuses on connecting people of all abilities to healthier lifestyles, guiding equipment usage, and maintaining a welcoming, safe gym environment.

Responsibilities include engaging members, building relationships, keeping the fitness floor clean, and providing friendly guidance on exercise and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent
• Fitness experience preferred
• Enjoyment from working with people on a fitness floor
• Excitement about helping members learn new equipment
• Team player with a commanding, positive presence and passion for connecting with members and building relationships

Responsibilities

• Engage members to foster a safe and rewarding fitness experience
• Build strong relationships with members and guests to facilitate their fitness goals
• Maintain a healthy, safe, and clean fitness floor
• Provide a friendly and encouraging environment for members in the usage of fitness and wellness programs and services.
• Have an understanding and provide basic information to members on exercising and health and wellness.
