Job summary

The YMCA of Greater San Francisco is seeking a Wellness Associate to foster a welcoming, inclusive, and safe exercise environment for members. You will guide members, provide orientations, and connect guests with available wellness resources.

This part-time, hourly role requires availability for early mornings, evenings, and weekends. A health/fitness knowledge foundation and prior customer service experience are highly valued as you support member engagement and facility operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.
• 6+ months of customer service experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of health, nutrition, and/or fitness principles.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe exercise environment for YMCA members.
• Provide equipment orientations to new members.
• Deliver youth orientations to ensure safety guidelines for younger members.
• Connect members with wellness offerings, resources, and services.
• Maintain a clean, safe wellness floor and ensure accessibility of equipment.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment for group classes.
