Job summary

Peoples Rx is seeking a Wellness Assistant Manager to lead our Wellness team across multiple Austin locations. This hands-on leadership role focuses on developing people, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining an organized, welcoming retail environment.

You'll work closely with Wellness leadership to support daily operations, scheduling, and product focus, while mentoring staff and ensuring a high standard of customer care in natural health and wellness products.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail experience with wellness/natural products preferred.
• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Willingness to coach and develop a diverse team.
• Able to work a flexible retail schedule including evenings and Saturdays.
• Physical ability to stand and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support Wellness team members.
• Train new employees and help team grow in their roles.
• Support daily department operations and staff scheduling.
• Provide knowledgeable, compassionate customer service.
• Resolve complex customer questions and concerns.
• Assist with inventory, merchandising, and store standards.
• Communicate department priorities and promotions to the team.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and the customer experience.
