Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises, Inc. is seeking friendly and outgoing servers to welcome guests, take orders, deliver meals, and assist with side work in a fast-paced dining environment.

Candidates should be able to stand throughout shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certifications. A 5-day work week and benefits including health and retirement plans are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and teammates.
• Previous cash handling and card transactions experience.
• Familiarity with menu items to answer guest questions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and guide them to their tables, taking orders and delivering meals promptly.
• Handle guest payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change.
• Maintain clean tables and dining area during shifts and assist with side work.
• Respect safety and sanitation policies and participate in training as required.
• Restock and manage restroom cleanliness to ensure guest comfort.
• Support teammates by keeping service areas organized and fully stocked.
• Follow Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certification guidelines.

Job description

At Flanigan’s, we strive to bring together warm, caring, friendly, outgoing people, who find joy in serving others. Our servers play a vital role in every meal - welcoming and guiding, taking orders and serving, and attending to details.

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests
• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Five (5) Day Work Week
