Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a Wellfield Technician II in Sacramento to support landfill gas collection systems within the RNG team. You will perform operations and maintenance, collect gas readings, inspect and repair wellheads, and ensure regulatory compliance under NSPS provisions.

This role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to read GCCS plans and manuals, and proficiency with MS Office. On-site work with field partners, on-call readiness, and data management using GCCS tools are

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1.5+ years of experience in related field.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain landfill gas collection system components.
• Take gas reads, tune, inspect and repair LFG wellheads and piping.
• Ensure condensate knockouts and pumps function properly.
• Proactively coordinate with landfill partners to optimize GCCS performance.
• Regulate and monitor wellhead and header pressure or vacuum.
• Maintain wellfield records and input data into GCCS tools.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and participate in on-call responses.
• Input data to GCCS monitoring software and related tools.
