Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities seeks a Clinical & Well-Being Registered Dietitian to deliver nutrition services and coaching to residents across care levels. The role involves visiting two campuses—Fairhaven in Sykesville and Buckingham's Choice in Adamstown, MD—and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team.

The RD will perform assessments, document medical records, provide education, and support wellness and quality initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition
• Registered Dietitian certification
• 1-3 years healthcare, clinical, management, or wellness experience
• Long-term care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive well-being, clinical, and lifestyle coaching to residents.
• Perform nutritional assessments, document in medical records, and educate individuals or groups.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to promote community health and well-being.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local regulations and support QAPI initiatives.

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Clinical & Well-Being Registered Dietitian (RD) position.

This position will require travel between our two communities listed below:

• Fairhaven - Sykesville, MD
• Buckingham's Choice - Adamstown, MD

In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive well-being, clinical, and lifestyle coaching services to residents in all levels of care via visitation, observation, nutritional assessment, medical records documentation, and group or individual education. Coordinates with an interdisciplinary team to promote community health and well-being. Provides consultation with federal, state, local, and corporate regulations to ensure proper delivery of quality nutrition services to residents. Supports Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and department policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition with Registered Dietitian certification
• 1-3 years of healthcare, clinical, management, and/or wellness experience
• Long-term care experience is preferred
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and state licensure, if required to practice in the state where employed
• Health Coach Certification (must be obtained within six months of employment)

Pay Range

$81,689.00 - $99,985.00 / year. Starting rate will vary based on skills and experience.
