Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Welding Coordinator for the 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 2:30 am, Mon-Thu) in El Dorado, KS. The role focuses on training, certifying weld staff, and supporting welding operations with a data-driven approach.

You will evaluate candidates, maintain certifications, and train on GMAW, SAW, and plasma cutting, while ensuring safety and adherence to company standards. Collaboration with site leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• 'High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years relevant experience' or 'Associate/Bachelor degree' in a related field.
• Experience with GMAW, plasma, and SAW welding processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols; safety-conscious.
• Experience in training and evaluating weld staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and training to weld staff per curriculum.
• Evaluate welding candidates and maintain evaluation records.
• Maintain welding certifications and training documentation.
• Train on welding processes, safety, manual and precision measuring.
• Support continuous improvement and data analysis in welding.
• Ensure proper welding equipment calibration and compliance.
