Job summary

Valmont Industries seeks a Welding Coordinator for the El Dorado, Kansas plant on the 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 2:30 am, Mon-Thu). You will lead welding training, certify personnel, manage records, and support continuous improvement in welding operations. Proficiency in GMAW, SAW, and plasma cutting is required, with safety first.

AWS accreditations are valued and a team-oriented culture is emphasized. The role reports to the Human Resources Manager and involves coordination with manufacturing

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree with relevant welding experience required.
• Experience with GMAW, plasma and SAW welding processes.
• AWS CWI/CWE/CWS accreditations within 2 years of eligibility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and coaching to weld staff per curriculum.
• Evaluate candidates and maintain welding certifications.
• Ensure welding equipment meets safety and compliance standards.
• Perform SPC data gathering and analysis for process improvement.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in welding operations.
