Job summary

Alloway Standard Inc. is seeking a skilled welder responsible for applying welding processes to join, fabricate, and repair metal parts. You will operate and maintain welding tools safely to meet quality and production standards.

Responsibilities include welding with hand tools or flame-cutting equipment, reading blueprints and tape measures, fabricating simple to moderately complex items, and following all safety and quality requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years welding experience preferred.
• Able to read blueprints, shop drawings, and tape measure.
• Must communicate in English and follow safety rules.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
• Fabricate simple structural and tank products with minimal supervision.
• Fabricate moderately complex items with supervision.
• Read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
• Operate and understand lifting and rigging techniques and standard layout tools.
• Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
