Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months shop/production experience.
• 1–3 years welding related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to read tape measure and read blueprints.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment.
• Ability to operate grinders, drills and screw guns.

Responsibilities

• Learn to analyze blueprints, verify dimensions, and build projects.
• Assure accuracy of finished parts by comparing to main samples.
• Request supervisor/QA verification of all dimensions prior to final welding.
• Willing to learn to weld carbon & aluminum and MIG wire.
• Weld parts in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead directions.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and verify parts per blueprint.
• Arrange and verify required welding parts/materials per blueprint.
• Assemble and tack-weld components with appropriate equipment.
• Use straightedge and rulers to align parts.
• Prepare finished product for paint (spatter removal).
• Maintain smooth welding process to prevent overheating and distortion.
