MDS Staffing is seeking an experienced welder to operate MIG, TIG, and spot welding in a manufacturing setting. You will read blueprints, set up equipment, and weld various metals while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of welding and fabrication experience, can interpret weld symbols, and is able to train others. This on-site role emphasizes meeting production deadlines and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Perform complex welding operations with MIG/TIG and spot welding.
• Read blueprints, work instructions and weld symbols to ensure quality.
• Set up equipment for material type and thickness to achieve proper welds.
• Position and align components with fixtures to maintain accuracy.
• Weld various metals and thicknesses while meeting tolerances.
• Inspect welds for strength and conformance to specs.
• Adjust heat, voltage, wire feed and travel speed for optimum welds.
• Perform fit-up and assembly prior to welding.
• Operate grinders and deburr tools for finishing.
• Follow safety rules and maintain organized work area.
• Work from schedules and meet production deadlines.
• Report defects or issues to supervision.
• Assist in training less experienced staff and document production quality.

• Prioritize tasks from production schedules to meet deadlines.
• Identify defects or issues and report them promptly.
• Provide guidance to newer welders as needed.
• Maintain production and quality documentation and support continuous improvement.
