Job summary

BearCat Manufacturing is seeking an experienced welder to join our fabricating team. You will set up and operate welding equipment, interpret blueprints and specifications, and produce high-quality welds to meet production standards.

The role requires hands-on experience in MIG, TIG, or Flux-Cored welding within a manufacturing setting, plus current AWS/ASME certification and strong attention to detail. Safety, accuracy, and teamwork are emphasized in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in welding preferred.
• Experience in MIG, TIG, Flux-Cored, or other welding processes in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, materials, and blueprint reading.
• Current AWS and/or ASME welding certification required.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality welds with minimal rework or scrap.
• Ability to read welding symbols, engineering drawings, and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment for various materials and applications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, and work orders to determine welding specs.
• Independently plan, lay out, and complete welding projects with minimal supervision.
• Weld metal parts and subassemblies according to drawings and production standards.
• Inspect welds for quality and dimensional accuracy; identify improvements to drawings or procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors to obtain materials and components; maintain a safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
