Responsibilities

• Sets up weld fixtures or assemblies following MIOSHA standards and procedures.
• Troubleshoots equipment failures with appropriate personnel.
• Re-teaches weld points and robot moves to improve welding process.
• Starts machines to obtain first run workpiece and checks tolerances.
• Changes MIG tips and wires as needed.
• Maintains PMs on cells/equipment and completes related paperwork.
• Monitors equipment operation and helps diagnose weld equipment.
• Reports equipment failures or unusual noises during operation.
• Completes work orders and Process Change Authorizations when required.
• Coordinates with maintenance, quality, and engineering on weld and machine quality.
