Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Team Leader for the 2nd shift (2:30 PM-10:30 PM, Monday-Friday) at our Walker, MI plant. Lead a production team to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals while ensuring orders are completed on time and with full compliance to customer specifications.

You will drive root-cause analysis, coach team members, and coordinate with supervision to maintain smooth plant flow and target hourly production rates.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety, quality, productivity and morale in daily shift operations.
• Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes and implement countermeasures.
• Effective communication with team members and management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety rules are followed and report abnormalities promptly.
• Verify product conformance to customer requirements in the work zone.
• Perform quality checks and periodic gage/visual inspections of parts.
• Support production schedule adherence and JRFP fulfillment.
• Assist with covering production during breaks and absenteeism.
