Job summary

Fronius USA is seeking a Technical Support Regional - System Engineer to work with welding equipment and demonstrate the value of Fronius products during the sales process. Role requires frequent travel to customer sites, installation sites, and meetings.

Responsibilities include understanding configurations, troubleshooting in the field, supporting upgrades, and conducting training and demonstrations as a technical expert across the region and at events.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Regular travel to customer sites and installations.
• Experience in electrical technology/engineering or welding is a plus.
• Robotic knowledge/experience is a plus.
• Strong MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely as needed.

Responsibilities

• Understands Fronius equipment configurations and installation processes.
• Troubleshoots, evaluates, and repairs welding equipment in the field.
• Evaluates client needs for upgrades or upsells of current or new installations.
• Supports Sales Representatives with creating system configurations to fulfill customers’ needs.
• Works independently with clients and prospective clients at their locations, providing product guidance and support.
• Attends presentations, develops proposals, conducts demonstrations as technical expert.
• Provides system advice for Fronius team members and customers via phone and email.
• Performs welding system hardware and software installation and integration at client locations.
• Conducts training events for colleagues, distributors, dealers, and end clients.
• Customizes training documents for clients.
• Participates in trade fairs and provides product guidance at regional and national events.
• Leads or supports initiation of modifications/further development of Fronius products.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
