Job summary

Airgas, Inc. in the Denver Metro area is seeking a Welding Process Sales Specialist to advance welding technologies and cost-effective applications across Colorado. The role combines technical welding expertise with strategic sales support to drive customer success.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in welding, a BS in Engineering or related field, and strong skills in welding processes, automation, and industry tools. Competitive compensation, benefits, and travel are part of the package.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Welding, Manufacturing, Automation, Fabrication, Mechanical, Electrical).
At least ten years welding industry experience.
Experience with SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW, OFC and PAC.
Thorough understanding of welding processes and welding equipment used in metal fabrication shops.
Experience with manual welding techniques, mechanized equipment, fixed and flexible welding automation, and CNC cutting systems.
Understanding of electricity, electronics, and power distribution – preferred.
Understanding of Ohm's law in electrical applications – preferred.
Certifications: CWI, CWS, CWE, NCCER Instructor, CWEng – preferred.
Valid State Drivers license.

Responsibilities

Represents ONE AIRGAS to prospects and existing customers. Explains how Airgas can match needs with products, processes, services.
Increases sales and loyalty through Welding Efficiency Analysis and cost reduction.
Provide information and training about Airgas Shielding Gases, weld products and services.
Assist sales reps with customer calls and provide product training.
Prepare presentations using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for CEOs, Engineers and Managers.
Prepare required reports and manage expense accounts.
Schedule time and projects with minimal supervision.
Maintain current with industry technical knowledge.
Travel overnight 30-40%.
