Job summary

Ideal Tridon Group in Garden Grove, CA is seeking a Spot Weld Operator for 2nd Shift to join our metal fabrication team. You will operate welding equipment to join metal spans, read blueprints, and follow specifications to ensure weld quality. The role requires a high school diploma, ability to learn production processes, and reliable transportation.

Welding knowledge is a plus, and drug screen/background checks are required. We value safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a Spot Weld Operator for 2nd Shift at our Garden Grove, CA Plant.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

• Second Shift - 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (Monday - Friday)

Responsibilities

• Operates welding machine in order to join metal spans in metal fabrication process
• May set up and operate machines such as drill presses, punch presses, saws, shears, bending rolls, brakes, grinders, and numerical control equipment to shape and alter metal according to specifications.
• Follows blueprints, customer specifications, rough sketches, or engineer drawings to shape mend, weld metal accurately.
• Uses hand and power tools to shape, cut, and smooth metal and to blend seams.
• May set up and operate soldering and welding equipment.
• Spot weld milled steel and stainless steel.
• Square up and weld various shapes of components.
• Weld both vertical and horizontal planes.
• Good understanding of set up techniques.
• Meets agreed upon goals and objectives promptly.
• Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
• Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.
• Operate a forklift safely.
• Stacking finished material as it is produced by Mill Operator.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
