Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Production Supervisor for its welding department in a rural Western Indiana facility. You will lead a fast-paced assembly environment, supervise welders and fabricators, and drive safety, quality, and throughput to meet daily production targets.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of supervisory manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read blueprints. A high school diploma is required, with an Associate's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Hands-on welding experience and ability to read blueprints.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving.
• Experience managing schedules and performance metrics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise welders, fabricators, and production team daily.
• Ensure schedules, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
• Monitor workflow, manpower, and efficiency; optimize output.
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA compliance.
• Lead daily production meetings and set goals.
• Train and develop staff to improve performance.
• Monitor weld quality against drawings and specs.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
• Track KPIs such as productivity, scrap, and downtime.
• Lead Lean and 5S continuous improvement initiatives.
