Job summary

Magellan Aerospace Middletown is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II (Welding) to provide process and manufacturing engineering support for new and ongoing programs. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure robust, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.

The role involves planning manufacturing plans, tooling, and work instructions; maintaining BOMs; owning weld areas; leading problem solving; supporting estimates and training weld staff to NADCAP and customer standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a qualifying engineering field with welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and procedures.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design manufacturing plans for new and existing programs.
• Design tooling, fixtures, jigs, and handling equipment.
• Create and maintain work instructions and bills of materials.
• Own welding areas and support analytical problem solving.
• Assist in estimating activities for new business.
• Ensure NADCAP and customer requirements are met; support weld audits.
• Train welders, inspectors, and maintain certification records.
• Review weld procedures and qualification documentation.
