Job summary

Magellan Aerospace Middletown seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II (Welding) to provide process and manufacturing engineering support for production programs, weld tooling, and CAPEX planning. The role partners with cross-functional teams to implement robust corrective actions and improve welding processes.

You will work with Quality to meet NADCAP and customer requirements, develop and maintain work instructions, and train welders and inspectors while ensuring documentation is current.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with minimum 2 years welding experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering drawings and technical procedures.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design manufacturing plans for new and existing programs.
• Develop work instructions detailing operations to manufacture components.
• Create and maintain bills of materials using an ERP system.
• Own welding area(s) to support manufacturing and troubleshoot issues.
