Job summary

Magellan Aerospace Middletown is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II (Welding) to support new and ongoing production programs. You will design manufacturing plans, tooling, and work instructions, and manage weld procedures with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and efficiency.

The role emphasizes NADCAP and customer audit readiness, capitalization of equipment, and training for welders and inspectors. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with ~2+ years welding experience.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and write technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design manufacturing plans for new and existing programs.
• Develop tooling, fixtures, jigs, shop aids, and handling equipment for welding.
• Maintain weld procedures, work instructions, and BOMs in ERP system.
• Lead weld audits, NADCAP certification, and customer audits.
• Provide training and certification for welders and inspectors.
