Job summary

Reedley College is seeking a part-time Welding Instructor to join its applicant pool for future vacancies. The instructor will teach Welding courses, using in-person, online, or hybrid formats and varied instructional methods to engage a diverse student body.

The role requires strong communication with students and staff, adherence to curriculum outlines, and timely submission of grading and records. Equity-minded teaching and student success are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of directly related professional experience; or Associate degree and six years; or a valid California Community College Credential; or the equivalent education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Teaching a part-time schedule of Welding courses as assigned.
• Using a variety of pedagogies and integrating a wide range of instructional delivery systems including face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid formats.
• Communicating effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Using effective teaching methods appropriate to the subject matter and adhering to curriculum outlines of record.
• Evaluating student progress through tests and examinations, assignments and other assessments.
• Providing course syllabi to students and maintaining classroom records per district policy.
• Turning in all required student grading and evaluation reports in a timely manner.
• Teaching assignments in multiple instructional settings and times as needed.
• Fulfilling duties per Administrative Regulation 7122 and other assigned duties.
