Job summary

Reedley College seeks an equity-minded Philosophy Instructor to teach part-time courses across a variety of formats, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid. The instructor will apply diverse pedagogies, communicate with students and staff, and ensure alignment with course objectives and curricular outlines.

Responsibilities include evaluating student progress, providing timely grading reports, and maintaining accurate classroom records.

Qualifications

• Master’s in philosophy; or Bachelor’s in philosophy and Master’s in humanities or religious studies; or valid California Community College Credential; or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Teach a part-time schedule of Philosophy courses.
• Use diverse pedagogies and diverse delivery modes including face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Evaluate student progress and provide timely grading/evaluation reports.
• Provide course syllabi and maintain classroom records.
