Job summary

Fresno City College is seeking a part-time Welding Instructor to join the program on campus or at off-site locations. The instructor will develop curriculum for the metals fabrication/welding technology program and teach welding processes to students.

Candidates must have a degree or credential and prior teaching experience, with a commitment to equity and serving racially diverse student populations. Evening/weekend classes and off-campus options may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of directly related professional experience.
• OR an associate degree and six years of directly related professional experience.
• OR a valid California Community College Credential.
• OR the equivalent education and/or experience.
• Evidence of responsiveness to diverse student backgrounds is required.

Responsibilities

• Developing curriculum for the welding program and student learning outcomes.
• Instructing in welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW and cutting.
• Teaching in evenings, weekends, online or off-campus as needed.
• Fulfill duties per Administrative Regulation 7122.
