Job summary

SQA Services is seeking a detail-oriented Welding Inspector to ensure quality and compliance of welded components on site in Brentwood, MO. The position is a 1-year contract with on-site hours 1:30pm–10pm, five days a week, requiring hands-on inspection and documentation review.

Responsibilities include visual inspection, weld symbol interpretation, documentation verification, and coordination with NDE when needed. Preference given to CWI or VT Level II certs and OSHA safety training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training in welding inspection preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of structural welding inspection experience preferred.
• Experience inspecting structural steel fabrication and welded assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Perform VT visual inspection of structural welds in accordance with AWS D1.1 acceptance criteria.
• Evaluate weld workmanship and surface condition.
• Verify weld profiles, weld size, and contour requirements.
• In-process and final inspections including fit-up and cleanliness.
• Generate inspection reports and nonconformance documentation.
