Job summary

SQA Services is seeking a detail-oriented Welding Inspector to ensure quality and compliance of welded components on-site in Missouri. The role involves inspections, documentation review, and ensuring workmanship meets drawings and specifications.

This is a 1-year contract with daytime schedule 1:30pm-10pm and facilities located on site. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of structural welding inspection experience, strong AWS D1.1 knowledge, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical welding inspection training preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of structural welding inspection experience preferred.
• Experience inspecting structural steel fabrication and welded assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection (VT) of structural welds per AWS D1.1 criteria.
• Evaluate weld workmanship and surface condition.
• Verify weld profiles, size, and contour requirements.
• Review and verify WPS documentation and welder qualifications.
• Perform pre-weld, in-process, and final inspections.
• Generate inspection reports and nonconformance documentation.
• Coordinate with NDE personnel when required.
