Job summary

SQA Services is seeking a Welding Inspector to ensure quality and compliance of welded components. You will perform visual inspections, review documentation, and ensure materials meet drawings and standards.

The role requires coordinating with NDE personnel and generating clear inspection reports. Candidate should have 3–5 years in structural welding inspection, knowledge of AWS D1.1, and be able to work on-site for a 6-month assignment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years in structural welding inspection and weldments.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and weld symbols essential.
• Experience inspecting structural steel fabrication and welded assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Perform VT visual inspection of structural welds per AWS D1.1 criteria.
• Evaluate weld workmanship, surface condition, and discontinuities.
• Review WPS documentation and welder qualifications.
• Inspect weld profiles, sizes, and contour requirements.
• Generate inspection reports and nonconformance documentation.
