Job summary

SGS North America Inc. is seeking a Welding Inspector for a one-month contract in Cleveland, OH. The role involves dimensional and visual inspections of metal parts, documentation, and reporting of results and non-conformities.

The candidate should have 5–10 years of welding inspection experience, with at least 5 years in QA/vendor surveillance or shop inspections, and hold AWS CWI or API 510 certifications. NDE witnessing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI or API 510 certification is required.
• 5–10 years of industrial welding inspection experience.
• At least 5 years in QA/vendor surveillance/shop inspections.
• Experience inspecting welds on pipelines, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, etc.
• Experience witnessing NDE tests (UT/PT/MT/RT) and verifying reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections on metal parts.
• Document inspection results and non-conformities.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and records.
• Communicate findings to welders, engineers and staff.
• Assist in identifying causes and corrective actions.
