Job summary

SGS North America Inc. is seeking a Welding Inspector for a one-month contract in Cleveland, OH. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections on welded parts and document results.

The role requires AWS CWI or API 510, 5–10 years welding inspection experience, and the ability to read drawings and test sheets. You will collaborate with welders and engineers and may handle paperwork.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI or API 510 certification required.
• 5–10 years industrial welding inspection experience.
• 5 years QA/vendor surveillance/shop inspections.
• Experience in oil & gas / power, construction or manufacturing sectors.
• Witnessing NDE tests (UT, PT, MT, RT) and verifying reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections on metal parts.
• Measure with tape measures, calipers, gauges and document results.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and record non-conformities.
• Witness NDE tests (UT, PT, MT, RT) and verify reports.
• Communicate findings with welders and engineers.
• Investigate non-conformities and assist in corrective actions.
