Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Shop CWI / Quality CWI in Pennsylvania to bring strong technical knowledge into the heart of its fabrication shop. You will work with production to solve quality issues and improve processes in structural steel and bridge fabrication.

You’ll review welding procedures, manage NCRs and inspection records, support audits and help ensure AWS D1.1 and AISC standards are met. This is a permanent, shop-based, full-time role in PA.

Qualifications

• Experience with structural steel and/or bridge fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1.
• AISC quality experience.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with production to resolve quality issues.

A growing structural steel and bridge fabrication operation is looking for a Senior Shop CWI / Quality CWI to bring strong technical knowledge into the heart of its fabrication shop.

You’ll work closely with production to solve quality issues, improve processes and maintain the standards behind complex structural and bridge fabrication.

What you’ll be doing

• Reviewing welding procedures & welder qualifications
• Managing NCRs, traceability & inspection records
• Supporting audits and quality systems
• Working directly with production to resolve quality issues
• Improving fabrication quality and processesSupporting and coaching junior quality personnel
• Ensuring work meets applicable AWS, AISC and project requirements

What they’re looking for

Must have:

• Structural steel and/or bridge fabrication experience
• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1
• AISC quality experience

Strongly preferred:

• Experience taking ownership of quality within a fabrication shop

And importantly, you don’t need to already have “Senior” in your title.
