Welding Inspector - CWI - Eastern/Central PA, FT/PT

Join Pennoni as a Welding Inspector (CWI) to perform off‑site quality assurance steel fabrication inspection at shops in Eastern and Central Pennsylvania that produce bridge and highway structures for transportation agencies.

Pennoni is a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm with a nationally‑recognized Structural Materials Inspection team. Founded more than 50 years ago, we specialize in quality assurance fabrication inspection, providing inspection, materials consulting, and testing services for buildings, bridges, highways, and other infrastructure facilities.

We are seeking full‑time and part‑time inspectors. Minimum education is a high school diploma. Applicants should have 1‑5 years of experience in bridge fabrication QA/QC and be an AWS Certified Welding Inspector. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office is required. Strong verbal and written communication, the ability to work independently and with teams, willingness to work overtime, and reliable transportation are essential.

Experience Consistent With, But Not Limited To

• Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge girders/beams, drainage structures, nondestructive testing, and other related materials
• Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications
• Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers
• Production of daily written shop inspection reports

Required Attributes
