Job summary

Nebraska Indian Community College seeks a Welding Faculty member for Macy and Santee campuses. This full-time, salaried exempt role requires leading and teaching welding courses, maintaining facilities, and contributing to NICC's applied trades programs.

Starting salary is $60,000-$65,000 with a 12-month contract. The position supports NICC’s certificate tracks and the new A.A.S. degree in Industrial Trades launched in Fall 2025.

Qualifications

• Evidence of formal education, industry experience and professional certifications in Welding.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• College teaching experience is preferred; familiarity with online learning and distance education.
• Ability to lead and collaborate with students, staff, and communities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain welding facilities, equipment, and materials at Macy and Santee Campuses.
• Deliver welding courses as assigned (e.g., WELD 1010, WELD 1020, WELD 1110, WELD 1200).
• Teaching schedule may include virtual classes and instruction on multiple campuses.
• Support development of NICC welding certificates and the A.A.S. degree.
