Job summary
NDX Human Capital Solutions seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer for our Houston-area production facility. This mid-to-senior role focuses on welding/fabrication, LEAN manufacturing, and process improvement, working closely with design engineering to improve manufacturability.
The job combines shop-floor support with split responsibilities in both office and floor environments, including developing routers and work instructions, leading LEAN initiatives, reducing waste, and optimizing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
- 5+ years manufacturing experience.
- Experience with welding and machining.
- Hands-on shop-floor engineering and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Support welding and fabrication operations.
- Read weld symbols and GD&T.
- Understand WPSs and PQRs.
- Troubleshoot production issues.
- Partner with design engineering on manufacturability.
- Drive process improvement and lead LEAN initiatives.
- Conduct root cause analysis and reduce waste.
- Optimize facility layouts and material flow.
- Develop manufacturing processes and create routers/work instructions.
- Design tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
