Job summary

Nailor Industries, Inc.'s Thermal Corporation Rankin Facility in Houston is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead hands-on improvements across fabrication, welding, sheet metal, subassembly, final assembly and shipping. You will map current state, design future state, and establish one-piece-flow assembly while partnering with Production, Planning, Materials, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and Purchasing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering and related roles.
• Proven success in process improvement with Lean methods.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software.
• Strong analytical and communication skills on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead improvements across fabrication, welding, sheet metal, subassembly, final assembly and shipping.
• Map current-state and design future-state processes to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Establish one-piece-flow assembly and pull systems to minimize WIP.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Materials, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and Purchasing.
• Develop layouts and standard work to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
