MissionHires is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer – Weld to support plant production by maintaining and improving welding and assembly operations.

The role will partner with operations and engineering teams to enhance safety, quality, throughput, and cost performance while supporting capital projects and lean initiatives. The position emphasizes developing standards, leading data-driven improvements, and applying root-cause analysis with 8D methods to resolve production issues across multiple

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with welding and assembly processes.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective-action methodologies (e.g., 8D) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and monitor manufacturing standards, processes, and performance measures to reduce costs and improve production operations.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and lead initiatives that improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost savings.
• Provide objective functional and financial engineering guidance to site management for capital expenditure projects.
• Support the installation and implementation of capital equipment and improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
• Provide lean manufacturing guidance to operations in coordination with the site Lean Manager.
• Investigate production issues using root-cause analysis and 8D problem solving.
• Act as technical SME for facility planning and production processes.
• Coordinate work activities and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
