Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for an on-site role in Houston, TX. You will lead manufacturing operations, driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives, with specialization in welding and fabrication processes.

This on-site position requires strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, GD&T, and LEAN manufacturing to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and process documentation across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Welding Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in welding and machining environments.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and LEAN manufacturing principles.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, weld symbols, GD&T, WPSs, and PQRs.
• Proven experience in facility layout, material flow, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support welding, fabrication, and manufacturing operations as the technical SME.
• Partner with Engineering to improve product manufacturability and production efficiency.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of manufacturing issues.
• Drive cost reduction, labor efficiency, scrap reduction, and process optimization initiatives.
• Implement and sustain LEAN practices, including 6S, Standard Work, and Visual Management.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, routers, process documentation, and labor standards.
• Design tooling, fixtures, and material handling solutions to improve safety and productivity.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to achieve operational goals.
