Job summary

MissionHires is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer – Weld to support a manufacturing company’s welding and assembly operations. The role focuses on improving safety, quality, throughput, and cost performance while aiding capital projects and lean initiatives.

You will partner with operations and engineering teams to develop standards, monitor performance, and implement improvements. Collaboration and strong problem-solving will be key to driving long-term operational success.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with welding and assembly processes.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles preferred.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and 8D problem solving preferred.
• Strong communication across plant personnel and teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and monitor manufacturing standards, processes, and performance measures to reduce costs and improve production operations.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and lead initiatives that improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost savings.
• Provide objective functional and financial engineering guidance to site management for capital expenditure projects.
• Support the installation and implementation of capital equipment and improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
• Provide lean manufacturing guidance to operations in coordination with the site Lean Manager.
• Investigate production issues using systematic root-cause analysis and 8D problem solving.
• Serve as a technical specialist and subject matter expert for facility planning and production processes.
• Coordinate work activities and manage multiple technical tasks and priorities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
