Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. is seeking a Welding Engineer to own welding processes for precision components. You will develop repeatable joining methods, optimize procedures, and work with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve weld integrity and productivity.

The role requires hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, knowledge of welding metallurgy, and the ability to troubleshoot and document procedures, tools, and inspections while training production staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related engineering field (Welding/Materials/Mechanical).
• Hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting welding processes in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of welding metallurgy, weld symbols, inspection methods, and process documentation.
• Ability to analyze technical problems and communicate corrective actions to production teams.

Responsibilities

• Own welding procedures, process parameters, joint preparation, tooling, and fixturing for new and existing products.
• Evaluate materials, joint designs, heat input, distortion, and weldability to ensure reliable production processes.
• Support procedure and welder qualification activities and maintain technical records per customer/industry requirements.
• Investigate weld defects and process variation; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions with manufacturing and quality.
• Collaborate with design engineers to improve joint accessibility, manufacturability, and assembly consistency.
• Plan welding trials and support inspection, testing, process validation, and transfer of new products to production.
• Train production personnel on approved methods and prepare work instructions, acceptance criteria, and process controls.
• Evaluate welding equipment and process improvements to reduce scrap, rework, and cycle time while ensuring safe operations.
• Maintain knowledge of welding standards and ensure compliance across production lines.
