Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting seeks a Weld Engineer to develop and sustain welding and additive manufacturing processes, including direct energy deposition. The role covers technology leadership, hands-on shop support, and cross-functional collaboration for certifications and quality improvements.

The successful candidate will own welding programs, work with QA/NDE teams, and contribute to product development and process optimization.

Qualifications

• BS in Weld Eng or related; comparable industry experience considered.
• 1-3 years as a weld engineer or in additive manufacturing research.
• Experience building and maintaining a certified weld program.
• Knowledge of AWS/ASME welding standards.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the welding program (AWS, ASME and others).
• Provide on-the-floor support to welders and engineering staff in welding/additive processes.
• Collaborate with QA to enhance certification readiness.
• Develop, write, and ensure execution of welding and additive manufacturing procedures.
• Develop customer-facing work procedures for new/repaired products.
• Serve as technology SME in welding and additive manufacturing; research and development for process improvement.
