Overview:
This role supports the NASA EM32 Welding & Manufacturing (W&M) team under the Engineering Services and Science Capability Augmentation (ESSCA) contract at NASA MSFC.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will mentor team members, monitor work quality, and develop standards for activities. They will plan and execute projects addressing complex problems, exploring innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
Work Environment:
Primarily office (40%) and manufacturing lab (60%). Requires effective communication, safety awareness, and the ability to work on-site at NASA/Marshall Space Flight Center. Travel may be infrequent.
Physical and Equipment Requirements:
Extended sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 lbs. Ability to operate computers, welding equipment, and safety gear. Work involves safety hazards requiring PPE.
Attendance and Other Functions:
Standard hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with minimal overtime. Reliable attendance and good judgment are essential. Dress appropriately for safety.
Qualifications:
Proof of U.S. citizenship required.
