Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Weld Technician for 1st shift to support automated welding cells in our Cusseta, AL plant. You will setup, troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety while operating welding equipment.

You will mentor Weld Tech trainees, assist with cell changes, and ensure documentation and part availability via Plex. Strong communication, teamwork, and hands-on mechanical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and industrial licenses are preferred.
• Successful completion of Weld Tech curriculum and trainee period is required.
• Experience with Microsoft applications and basic measurement tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures while servicing or maintaining welding equipment.
• Mentor Weld Technician trainees and support cell operations.
• Perform weld tip/cap changes and routine gun maintenance.
• Execute changeovers for stationary and automated weld cells.
