Fehrer Automotive North America is seeking a Team Lead for the Welding Cell Assembly on the 3rd shift in Duncan, SC. This role supports assembly operations, ensuring efficiency targets are met and supervises welding activities with a focus on quality and safety.

The position requires a High School diploma, strong leadership and communication skills, and familiarity with robotic welding systems; some training may occur off-site in ALBA, Georgia.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Above average leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient working knowledge of equipment and processes in designated area.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Start and stop shifts on computers.
• Audit cells referencing production schedules.
• Communicate quality issues to assemblers, processes, and supervisor.
• Conduct base quality investigations for issues.
• Identify and coordinate repair/removal of damaged tools.
• Track and record downtime, rework and scrap.
• Identify nonconforming frames and subcomponents and follow scrap procedures.
• Operate welding table with robotics coordination and ensure quality welds.
• Maintain 5S and clean work area.
• Perform light maintenance on welding tables and tips.
• Ensure IATF, ISO, and TISAX compliance within welding cell.
