Job summary

Hadrian welding team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design tooling and automation, bridging development and production in a hands-on, shop-floor role in Torrance, CA. You’ll work with engineers and welders to create fixtures, support equipment buys, and enable scalable, automated welding processes.

The role emphasizes CAD design, tooling, and metrology in a fast-growing manufacturing environment, with opportunities to advance across welding, casting, forging and more within Hadrian’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or mechanical design.
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent) and working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Comfort with shop-floor tooling, fixtures, and metrology.
• Exposure to machining, assembly, welding, additive, and inspection processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop weld tooling and fixtures for transition from development to production.
• Provide CAD support for equipment buys and setup in welding development.
• Collaborate with welding engineers and welders on part fabrication.
• Translate development needs into manufacturable, automated welding processes.
• Coordinate with Build, Software, Tooling, Automation, and NDT to keep weld development unblocked.
