Job summary

Miller Industries in Fenton, Michigan is seeking a Welding Apprentice for the 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm) with overtime on weekends as needed. You will begin welding education while working full-time alongside experienced fitter/welders.

The program includes company-paid classes at Mott Community College and hands-on training in blueprint reading, welding specs, and fabrication techniques as you develop essential skills for a welding career.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required or equivalent.
• Technical or vocational welding training or coursework preferred.
• At least 6 months of welding education or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Work full-time while taking welding classes paid for by the company.
• Learn to read blueprints, welding specs, and welding procedures.
• Read welding measuring devices and use fabrication equipment.
• Perform repair welds using torches and grinders as needed.
• Gain hands-on experience alongside experienced welders.
• Adhere to safety and PPE requirements in a manufacturing environment.
