Job summary

ExacTech North in Crystal Falls, MI is seeking a MIG Welder to join our turnkey heavy fabrication team. You will weld and fabricate steel parts using metal-cored and flux-cored wires, reading blueprints to determine weld requirements and ensuring high quality along the way.

You will operate grinders and cranes, comply with ISO and OSHA standards, and participate in our 4-day work week on the 1st shift (5:00am–3:30pm). Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• MIG welding with metal-cored & flux-cored wires.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings to determine weld requirements.
• Understand pre-heat and post-heat weldments.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding with metal-cored wires & flux-cored wires to assemble large steel pieces together.
• Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements.
• Use disc grinders to smooth out parts to ensure no defects.
• Use overhead and jib cranes to place components for welding.
• Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to responsibilities.
