Job summary

Miller Industries is seeking a Welder-Fitter for the 3rd shift in Fenton, MI. The role focuses on MIG welding of carbon steel, with fabrication and fitment duties, building conveyors, stairs, and related systems. Expect to read drawings and assemble components to precise specifications.

The shift runs 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday through Friday, with overtime as needed. Safety, teamwork, and quality are essential to success in this hands-on shop environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of fabrication and welding experience with MIG, TIG and Arc welding.
• Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum is preferred.
• Ability to read cut lists and engineering drawings for fabrication.
• Strong safety mindset and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Read engineered drawings, cut, weld, and assemble materials for custom products.
• Weld components in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
• Set up and operate hand and power tools used in welding and fabrication.
• Lay out, align, and secure parts prior to assembly.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure on-time order fulfillment.
