Job summary

Hobart Filler Metals is seeking an Application Engineer to deliver expert welding process support, product recommendations, and troubleshooting for product managers, R&D, Quality, ITW sales teams, and end-users. You will act as a Hobart product expert on welding projects to increase pull-through of ITW Welding solutions.

Responsibilities include training, data-driven analysis, and field support with travel up to 25% (limited international travel if needed).

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required; welding-focused specialization preferred.
• Strong welding processes knowledge and manufacturing technologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and data-driven decision skills.
• Experience with data analysis and problem solving in customer contexts.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support and technical troubleshooting for internal teams and customers.
• Train internal and external users in welding techniques and processes.
• Perform and create reports on product evaluations and customer projects.
• Travel up to 25% of the time; some international travel may be required.
