Job summary

Contech in Mitchell, Indiana is seeking a Welder to contribute to infrastructure projects including drainage systems, bridges and stormwater structures. You will read blueprints, prepare layouts, and weld assemblies on site at our Mitchell facility.

You should be skilled in MIG and Stick welding, comfortable with precision instruments, and capable of manual layout using templates. We offer competitive wages, overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding is required.
• Technical welding training or experience is preferred.
• Ability to work with precision instruments.

Responsibilities

• Lay out material and align parts using templates or patterns.
• Weld assemblies using crane or hoist equipment for positioning.
• Cut using plasma torch to precise dimensions.

We are looking for a WELDER to join our Mitchell, Indiana plant. As a Welder with Contech you will contribute to America's essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to ensure accurate welding.
• Uses template, pattern, scribe, etc. to mark and lay out material.
• Aligns and assembles product for welding using crane, lever hoist ,chains, etc.
• Uses cutting or plasma torch to burn to precision layout.
• Adheres to safety protocols to create a secure work environment.

About You

We Require:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, and Stick welding.
• Technical training or welding experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
