Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions in Mitchell, IN is seeking a Welder to contribute to infrastructure projects including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and stormwater structures. You will read blueprints, set up welds, and weld with MIG and Stick processes.

The role emphasizes precision, adherence to safety, and teamwork in a hands-on manufacturing environment at our Mitchell plant.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding.
• Technical training or welding experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to ensure accurate welding.
• Uses template, pattern, scribe, etc. to mark and lay out material.
• Aligns and assembles product for welding using crane, lever hoist, chains, etc.
• Uses cutting or plasma torch to burn to precision layout.
• Adheres to safety protocols to create a secure work environment.
